In the four years she was apart of that program Dawn became the captain of her team, competed in the National Dance Team Championship twice, and competed and won the Northern Dance Team Championship. Through her love for cheer, Dawn’s alma mater, Junipero Serra High School, hired her to be the director of the cheer/dance program and a substitute teacher for nearly eight years. As the director and choreographer, she led her Varsity team to compete and win the 2011 JAMZ National Dance Team Championship in Las Vegas, NV.
